Manufactured by Silky (UM Kogyo) in Ono, Japan, the Zubat 240 Large Teeth (270-24) is the industry-defining curved sheathed handsaw used by arborists and landscapers worldwide. Pioneered as the world's first non-set curved pruning saw, the Zubat set the global benchmark for high-speed limb removal and overhead canopy pruning.

Featuring a gently curved R650 blade profile, the Zubat automatically draws its cutting edge deep into wood fibers on every pull stroke, eliminating the need to force the blade into the branch. This curved geometry excels in overhead pruning above shoulder height, allowing the saw to bite instantly and slice smoothly through 4cm to 8cm live branches with minimal arm movement. Crafted from premium SK95 High-Carbon Steel with Mirai-Me Technology, its aggressive large tooth pitch (7.5 teeth per 30mm) rapidly clears wood chips while delivering fast cuts across all grain directions. Precision mirror-ground without tooth set (Non-Set Teeth), it leaves surgical, glass-smooth cut surfaces that protect living tissue against disease and decay. Equipped with Impulse Hardened Teeth, the razor-sharp edge maintains durability up to three times longer than traditional saws.  

Built with a full-tang steel core wrapped in a shock-absorbing vulcanized elastomer rubber grip, the handle dampens cutting vibration to minimize hand fatigue. The heavy-duty polypropylene sheath features a 3D roller entry system that prevents the sharp teeth from damaging the scabbard, a secure anti-drop locking mechanism, and integrated attachment slots for optional leg straps.
