Manufactured by Silky (UM Kogyo) in Ono, Japan, the Gomtaro 240 Large Teeth (102-24) is an extended-reach straight-blade sheathed saw built for demanding professional arboriculture, forestry, and heavy landscape management. The 240mm blade provides exceptional stroke leverage and cutting speed directly from the hip, eliminating setup time in the field.

Constructed with Silky’s full-tang Monoblade Concept, the high-carbon steel frame extends continuously through the entire rubber handle for maximum structural rigidity and direct energy transfer. The blade is crafted from premium Japanese SK95 High-Carbon Steel with Mirai-Me Technology and aggressive coarse teeth (8 teeth per 30mm) that power through thick greenwood without clogging. Precision mirror-ground without tooth set (Non-Set Teeth), it leaves exceptionally clean cuts that promote rapid tree bark recovery. With Impulse Hardened Teeth, the cutting edge maintains razor sharpness up to three times longer than standard saws.

The vulcanized elastomer rubber grip absorbs cutting impact to prevent hand fatigue during long shifts. Comes equipped with a heavy-duty polypropylene sheath featuring internal entry rollers for smooth holstering and a secure locking mechanism to keep the saw safely locked in place while moving around the job site.
