Description

Handcrafted by Ono-Yoshi in Ono, Hyogo Prefecture—a historic center famous for Banshu Miki cutlery—these large-format A-Type pruning secateurs (Model A-230-2, Total Length 225mm) are individually forged and hand-finished by master blacksmiths. Engineered with a slim, refined A-type blade geometry, they combine razor-sharp precision with lower cutting resistance, allowing for clean, efficient slicing through thicker branches with reduced hand force.

Featuring master-level blade crossover engagement (suriawase), these secateurs deliver a remarkably smooth, neutral, and consistent cutting action. The extended 225mm frame and long 74mm blade provide maximum leverage, reach, and capacity, making them an outstanding choice for professional arborists, landscapers, and orchardists tackling heavy-duty daily pruning. Complete with an authentic Hollow Ground Back (Urasuki) and hand-adjusted Hinari blade alignment, they effectively shed sap and resin while maintaining exceptional edge durability.
