Manufactured in Japan by Naniwa Abrasives, the IQ-1123 Triangular Oilstone Stick is a specialized abrasive rod designed for detail-oriented honing where conventional flat stones cannot reach. Crafted from high-density aluminum oxide, this stone holds its rigid triangular geometric shape exceptionally well without premature rounding.

Featuring a 13mm × 13mm × 13mm equilateral triangular profile with a 100mm length, it allows craftsmen to use its flat faces for narrow bevels and its sharp edges/corners for tight inner radiuses, v-grooves, bonsai tools, carving chisels, and the hard-to-reach inner curves of Japanese pruning shears (Ueki-basami). Can be used with hone oil or water.

HOW TO USE
Apply a few drops of honing oil or wet generously with water before use. Gently guide the flat face or corner of the stick along the inner curve, groove, or bevel of the tool at the correct angle. Wipe clean after use.
