OVERVIEW & PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The dependable "Red Shrimp" coarse bench stone for rapid edge re-shaping and bevel correction.

Manufactured in Japan by Naniwa Abrasives, the "Aka-Ebi" (Red Shrimp) series is a time-tested favorite among traditional Japanese craftsmen. The HI-0130 is a solid, single-layer bench stone composed entirely of high-grade Green Silicon Carbide (GC-Kaku).

Formulated with a versatile coarse #220 grit, it strikes the ideal balance between aggressive steel removal and refined scratch pattern control. It quickly removes small nicks, cleans off stubborn surface rust, and restores proper bevel angles on Japanese garden shears (Ueki-basami), secateurs, sickles, and heavy cutlery before moving to medium polishing stones.

HOW TO USE
Submerge the stone in water for 5–10 minutes prior to use until air bubbles stop rising. Keep the stone surface moist during sharpening to allow the slurry to build up naturally. Use moderate pressure to rapidly re-establish your bevel before finishing on medium-grit stones (#800 or #1000).
