Forged in Miki, Japan, by master sawmakers at Hishika Industry (established in 1947), the "Noko-House" 180mm Hand-Forged Pruning Saw offers an optimal balance between surgical Japanese cutting efficiency and enhanced blade toughness. Measuring 300mm in overall length with a 180mm blade, this fixed-blade saw is engineered for fruit growers, professional landscapers, and serious woodworking enthusiasts.

While crafted with traditional full-blade hand-tempering by Miki blacksmiths, the "Noko-House" series features a slightly moderated heat treatment compared to Hishika’s flagship line. This subtle adjustment retains exceptionally high edge sharpness while imparting greater steel elasticity and fracture resistance, making the blade slightly more forgiving during demanding field use without sacrificing edge retention.

Built with Hishika’s signature Back-Tapered Thin Blade Geometry (Sen-Togi), the blade spine is ground thinner than the cutting teeth to minimize kerf drag and prevent binding in fresh green wood. The razor-sharp edge slices cell walls cleanly, leaving mirror-smooth cross-sections that accelerate natural tree callusing and guard against rot. Crafted from high-carbon Japanese tool steel, this saw is fully resharpenable (Metate) for decades of continuous trade use.

Note for Users: Although formulated with added toughness, this hand-tempered high-carbon steel blade remains a precision cutting tool. Apply force exclusively on the PULL stroke without twisting or flexing the blade excessively.
