Crafted under the prestigious Hasamiya Ichiban brand, item NO.1204 is a specialized gate hedge shear blade unit (head only) designed for users who prefer custom bamboo handles. Traditional hand-forged from scratch using Yasugi (Yellow Paper Steel), these 195mm blades feature an exceptionally smooth, neutral contact ideal for precision leaf trimming and light foliage maintenance.

This unit includes a metal ferrule ring (Marukan) for securing your custom bamboo handle. Insert a prepared bamboo stock through the ring into the socket, use wooden wedges made from leftover bamboo to lock the fit tightly, and re-wedge whenever play develops. Weighing only 480g (head unit), it allows you to assemble a custom-balanced, highly maneuverable hedge shear tailored to your preferred length. Built to professional standards for landscapers, arborists, and fine greenery specialists. (Note: Handle unit only; bamboo handle in photo is for illustration. Do NOT use chemical glue).

Bamboo Assembly Guidelines:

1. Shave the mounting end of your bamboo handle to fit inside the ferrule ring (ensure bamboo nodes are hollowed out).

2. Insert the bamboo into the steel socket and drive bamboo wedges into any gaps for a rock-solid mechanical lock.

3. If the handle loosens over time, simply drive the wedges in further to re-tighten. (Splitting of the bamboo end inside the metal ring is normal and expected).
