Description

Crafted by Yoshioka Hamono, the Hasami Masamune NO.128 (Nata Handle Model) is a long-blade sharp-angle Japanese hedge shear engineered for maximum efficiency, structural strength, and close-quarters control. Hand-forged from scratch using high-grade Yasugi Shirogami (White Paper Steel), this shear features a razor-sharp edge, exceptional penetration into plant material, and unmatched ease of resharpening in the field.

The blades feature a traditional hollow ground back (Urasuki) to reduce friction and sap buildup, combined with a subtle propeller-twisted blade design for smooth edge alignment and a clean bite. Outfitted with an extended 240mm blade and a heavy-duty 270mm (9 sun) compact Nata handle, it delivers wider surface coverage per cut while offering superior maneuverability—making it especially ideal for working safely on stepladders and trimming in confined spaces. Built to professional standards, it is an essential tool for landscapers, arborists, and traditional Japanese garden specialists.
