Description

Crafted under the renowned Hanafubuki brand in Sanjo, Niigata, item NO.1158 is a heavy-duty, professional-grade Kyoto-style hedge shear engineered for all-around general hedging and pruning operations. Hand-forged by skilled blacksmiths using Yasugi Yellow Paper Steel, it features an extra-thick 6mm blade construction, providing incredible structural strength and allowing users to utilize the tool's natural self-weight (1240g) to bite through wood effortlessly.

The extended 240mm blades incorporate a traditional hollow ground back (Urasuki) combined with a Twist Blade alignment to ensure a remarkably smooth, refined shearing action with minimal resistance. Paired with a 450mm Japanese white oak handle (total length 770mm), it delivers exceptional balance, robust power, and supreme durability. Built to professional standards for landscapers, arborists, and fine greenery specialists. (Note: For initial use, break in the blades gradually on soft foliage and thin branches before heavy cutting).
