Description

Handcrafted by Azumagawa Horticultural Shear Works in Ono, Hyogo Prefecture—a historic center for traditional blacksmithing—these full-sized 200mm A-Type pruning secateurs (Model 377) are precision-forged using high-grade special steel. Treated with Azumagawa’s proprietary "Maru-yakiire" full-quenching heat treatment, these secateurs combine extreme edge sharpness with excellent structural resilience.

Engineered with a refined, slim A-type blade geometry, they slice through live wood with minimal cutting resistance, enabling arborists, orchardists, and landscapers to work effortlessly through dense foliage and medium branches. The standard 200mm frame delivers optimal leverage, reach, and balance, making it an ideal choice for continuous, full-day pruning operations. Complete with an authentic Hollow Ground Back (Urasuki) and hand-adjusted Hinari alignment for smooth, sap-resistant performance.
