Forged in Miki—Japan’s historic center of master sawmaking—by Hishika Industry (established in 1947), this premium set pairs Hishika’s 180mm Hand-Forged Mini Pruning Saw with a heavy-duty leather belt holster specifically engineered to house the saw along with its wooden scabbard.

The 180mm mini saw measures 300mm overall, providing an extended cutting stroke for faster coverage on medium branches while maintaining easy handling in tight foliage. Each high-carbon steel blade undergoes traditional full-blade hand-tempering by master smiths to deliver maximum sharpness, structural flexibility, and a silky pull-stroke action. Featuring Hishika's Back-Tapered Thin Blade Geometry (Sen-Togi), the blade spine is ground thinner than the cutting edge to eliminate kerf friction and prevent binding in fresh wood. The razor-sharp edge leaves mirror-smooth cuts that accelerate natural branch healing. Like all authentic Hishika tools, the blade is fully resharpenable (Metate).

The included leather holster (255mm total length) mounts directly to standard work belts. It holds the wooden scabbard snugly to prevent wood cracking while enabling fast, smooth one-handed drawing and sheathing in the field. An open-bottom design allows sawdust and organic debris to drop through naturally for effortless cleaning.
